Honda Expo 2021 – Car Show Format
HXPO Car Show Judging Criteria
On July 18, 2021 Honda Expo returns with a move to Evergreen Speedway as our venue. This year we will have more judges and a more efficient format that allows us to spend time with each owner/car to discuss their build.
HOW ARE POINTS AWARDED?
These points are all totaled and the car in each class with the most points out of 100 would be the winner of that class.
CLEANLINESS
Almost every one of the categories shown above contain a cleanliness element to them. This refers to dirt, grime, or how well a certain modification is executed.
If wheels are dirty with brake dust a car would lose points in the Suspension/Wheels category. If wires/taps are visible on an electrical install that would obviously be lower points in the Interior/Audio category.
HOW ARE AWARDS DISTRIBUTED?
Awards are structured so that competitors are only allowed to win the highest award. For example, if someone wins Best of Show they are not able to win a Best Model award.
RUNNER UP AWARDS
If by our deadline of Wednesday, July 14 a particular class has a sufficient number registered (this is usually 8+ of the same type of car) we will make a 2nd place award for that particular class. We don't like to give out extra awards for non-competitive classes so we only make awards based on what is coming.
